“We purchased a turnkey 2nd home in the South. Realizing the extent of changes necessary to update the entire unit and make this living space truly feel like our home, it became clear we needed the help of an Interior Decorating professional and contacted Kristin Maher. It was an overwhelming task that we were not prepared to handle on our own having no idea where to begin! Over a 10-month period, in a long- distance situation, Kristin was able to completely understand and visualize the comprehensive scope of the full project while always dedicating extreme attention to every last detail in this total redo. The condominium unit had good bones but all the furnishings and most of the finishes were dated and tired looking. We gave Kristin a budget to work with and she was dedicated to pointing out those areas of the home that could be easily refreshed instead of replaced. “Our condominium Board decided to undertake the task of updating our 14 units that had outdated exterior siding colors, rotting wood and various architectural designs that included wood, brick and siding. We chose to seek professional advisement with Kristin to evaluate our complex and recommend a coordinated plan to update and unify our complex. Kristin visited our complex, met with the board, took pictures of all the units and then returned at a later date to make a presentation to the Board incorporating our desires along with her recommendations. The Board unanimously approved Kristin’s plan to modernize with a new, updated color siding enhancing the existing brick and mortar of several of the units. An exact custom paint color matched to the newly selected siding will be used to freshen the existing siding, along with newly painted trim and shutters in coordinating colors. Kristin’s color and picture board, along with her narrative was the foundation for the President’s presentation to the association members that lead to the adoption of the entire capital project. Kristin has agreed to remain in a consulting role until the project is completed in the coming year.”
